Congratulations, Cristen and Jason!

Wednesday evening our favorite Southerner, Miss Jody, arrived for the wedding festivities. Casey LOVED playing with her & wanted to know what she was doing at all times. Casey had a great, injury free week. I picked him up from daycare Friday afternoon since Carrie took the day off to primp prepare for Aunt Cristen's wedding. When I arrived, I found Casey in this, the result of an afternoon snack of ice pops.

We met up with Carrie and the rest of the family at the church for the rehearsal, before heading off to dinner. Casey was very well behaved, especially at the restaurant.

After The Little Gym on Saturday morning, we ran a few errands before post-hair lunch with the bridal party, then it was back home to get ready. Casey happily (to my surprise) put on his fancy clothes, and we were off to the church. Here we have Caroline in the limo on the way to the church.

Casey was again very well behaved in the church, as well as the reception that followed.

Much to my disappointment, he had no interest in his baby sitter for the evening, and was still going strong on the dance floor at 11 PM. I finally had to cut my evening a wee bit short, knowing that getting Casey to bed would put me out, too.

Early reception...

Late reception...

Sunday morning at breakfast, he and Caroline wrestled on the restaurant floor...

Inappropriate?

...and the adults wrestled later in the day.

Later in the afternoon, we met up with some other friends for lunch at the beach, before capping off the day with a refrigerator clean-out dinner at Grandma's. All in all, a lovely, action packed, restless weekend.

Saturday we went to TLG. Casey quite enjoyed it, as usual, and we signed him up for the fall semester. Then we went on our weekly family trip to Costco. Casey ate his weight in gouda. Sunday Casey found his SpiderMan snow boots and insisted on wearing said boots all day. He even wore them to a BBQ at Grandma Z's. He also wore the boots all day Monday. Yesterday Casey said "das fuuuunnnneeeee" the whole car ride home from school/work. This morning wanted to eat chocolate (cha-ko-lit) for breakfast and wear his pajamas to school. The Zukowski clan is excitedly preparing for Aunt Cristen's pending nuptuals this Saturday. Casey is quite excited that Jody will be staying with us & that Caroline will be coming tomorrow.
He's becoming quite the chatter. He repeats everything...Aunt Cristen learned that earlier today when he kept repeating "oh Jesus" after hearing her say it.

Do these eyes look red?

Casey went to bed furiously rubbing his eyes, and woke up with them red and puffy. Thinking it was pink eye, we kept him home (thank you, Aunt Jessica, for giving up your day off to watch him!) As confirmed by Dr. Sue, it is just allergies. If only there is a pharmacy with his prescription in stock.

Weekend Update

Friday night we went to see the Rubin side of the fam & to pick up Matt's new suit. Casey played with Aunt Jess-E-ca, ate Cheerios, watch a bit of 101 Dalmations, ate some pizza & threw assorted toys around. Saturday included a trip to TLG--this week Grandpa came down to check it out, and Jacob & his mom attended bring a friend week. For our weekly trip to Matt & Casey's favorite store, Casey sported a hat like his dad (see below). We had some company for dinner last night...I tried out a new recipe and also tried to burn the flesh from my right hand. Luckily, the recipe turned out ok, and my hand is not as badly singed as I anticipated. Sadly, due to the weather, I was unable to get any of my new plants located in their new homes over the weekend. After a quick check of Weather.com, it appears I will be unable to plant them until Sunday. Hopefully I don't kill them before then.
