2 weeks ago today...

Casey was born. He was so excited by this anniversary he decided to stay awake all day in celebration.

The temperature reached the 80s in many parts of New Jersey today, but apparently Carrie forgot who the boy's father is.

Mommy left us boys home alone together while she went shopping with Aunt Cristen this afternoon. As you can see, it was rather uneventful.

Day 12

I have some new pictures to post from the past couple days but haven't gotten around to it yet.

Casey, Matt & I took a trip to the pediatrician this morning. Casey weighed 5 lbs 14 oz when we left the hospital on the 18th and today he weighed in at 6 lbs 15 oz, which makes me very happy as it means he's eating enough.

Excitement today included a trip to the beach for a walk and a nap with Dad. Most exciting for me was that his umbilical cord fell off so now I don't have to worry about somehow ripping it off.

Carrie's friends Susie and Nicole came to visit today, and they brought Casey essentials for when the pool is open - swim trunks, matching sunglasses, and a boogie board.

Casey had his newborn checkup at the doctor this morning, where he got an excellent report. He has gained 12 ounces since leaving the hospital, which made his mother very happy. He had all of the nurses fawning over him, and was cooperative for the doctor. The next visit should be interesting, as he will be getting his first shots.

Here we are leaving the hospital, after making Casey Theodore the baby's official name. It was a tough decision, and they wouldn't let us leave until it was done. I would have gladly paid the $250 in court fees to have it legally changed from Boy Zukowski at a later date to have gone home sooner.

Casey Theodore was born at 7:31 A.M. on April 16. At the time of this photo, he was only known as Boy Zukowski.
