The rest of the family is taking a very much needed nap...and I'm enjoying the quiet.

Casey has been 'helping' with the renovations to the baby's room the past couple of weeks.  Despite not meeting Carrie's standards, he did quite well painting.  Of course, if he doesn't use the bigger roller, his height will keep pace with his progress, and he won't need a stool.

Casey & I made some this morning...he finally decided to try it after dinner. But it had to be a big piece.

We watched Wall-E with Casey over the weekend. Now all he wants to do is watch Wall-E. For those who haven't seen it, there's a point where the main characters are flying in space (seen here)

Casey says every time excitedly & with a huge grin on his face, "LOOK, Eve & Wall-E LOVE each other!"

It snowed a little overnight. Casey saw the snow this morning & got very sad because it wasn't BIG snow. He likes BIG snow, not this (looked sadly out the window at the inch of snow on the ground) snow. He's hoping for BIG snow this weekend, so we can go outside & play in the BIG snow.

Casey enjoyed a powdered sugar (this means powdered sugar donut).

Mmmm...pretzels. Casey would live in these pjs if we let him. He wears them as often as possible, sometimes for the whole day if we're home. I even got him an extra pair, for pajama emergencies.

Yesterday morning Casey & I made chocolate chip cookies. He will not eat them, but he enjoys mixing things up. He even helped put them on the cookie sheet to bake.

Today we have a painter here taking down some wallpaper & preparing to paint tomorrow. Casey was very concerned that the mens were going to try to eat his sammich, and said "but it's MYYYYY sammich. I will be hungry if he eats it". Although I assured him the men would not take his sandwich, he was not completely reassured until he was finished eating. He rode his bike outside for a bit (I'm not sure if he likes the bike riding or the helmet wearing more), discussed the fact that geese invaded our neighborhood last week & left goose poo all over, then decided we should go inside to have a snack. After that & some Thomas time, we made vanilla ice cream. Casey fell asleep while watching it. He will not eat it...it hurts his tongue. But he did tell me it's fun to make ice cream.

Casey found spied this playhouse toward the back of his favorite warehouse store. He played in it, cooked me some steak on the grill, rang it's working doorbell, & had a fabulous time playing in it. Perhaps someday we'll get him a playhouse. After playhouse time, he ate a disturbing amount of Asiago cheese--he even ate the piece I was going to try off the toothpick.

Casey has been known to wear 2 different socks--usually one Lightning sock (white with Lighting on it) and one Mater sock (blue with Mater on it). This morning he needed to wear both pairs...so he had 2 pairs of socks on all day. And he informed his teachers of this. This morning he also bumped his leg on something, when I asked what happened he told me be bumped it "in this frickin thing". Wonder where he got that phrase (Matt).

Last week we went to see our friends Rachel & Pat. They have a cat names Jinx. I do not have a photo of Jinx, but he's gray & white. Casey quite enjoyed him & called him Drinks. He petted Drinks, threw balls to (ok, AT) Drinks, requested Rachel & Pat retrieve Drinks when he ran upstairs or laid under their Christmas tree. He LOVED Drinks. Sadly, I'm allergic to cats, so we won't be getting a Drinks of our own. Today, Casey found his own Drinks. It's a stuffed dog that is the same color as Drinks, so he decided it's his DOG named Drinks.
